Dover Artificial Lift’s Oil Lift Technology division delivers wellhead drives for progressing cavity pumps that fit any application, regardless of the site’s needs, pre-existing equipment or well characteristics. Our comprehensive line of drive heads comes in a range of gear ratios, motor sizes and torque ratings to lower your total cost of ownership for the long term.

Dover Artificial Lift’s Oil Lift Technology division provides robust, enclosed helical gear drives designed for a 20+ -year operating life span. An oil-immersed centrifugal braking system allows a safe and controlled backspin. And because they are gear-driven and not belt-driven, these drives have no belt replacement costs. Each drive includes Dover Artificial Lift’s Zero-Spill® stuffing box, which eliminates oil spill cleanup costs and minimizes environmental risks.

The G Series of gear drives comes in different torque ratings, depending on your pumping needs:

  • The G1500 drive has a maximum motor size of 50 hp/1200 rpm and a polished rod torque of 1,600 ft-lbs. The drive has a thrust bearing Ca 90 rating of 33,500 lbs and a polished rod load rating of 17,800 lbs at 250 rpm for 50,000 hours.
  • The G2000 has a maximum motor size of 125 hp/1200 rpm and a thrust bearing Ca 90 rating of 33,500 lbs. The drive also has a maximum polished rod torque of 2,000 ft-lb and a rod load rating of 17,800 lbs at 250 rpm for 50,000 hours.
  • The G2000 Twin drive is essentially two G2000 drives connected in series to provide a maximum motor size of 2 x 125 hp/1200 rpm and a thrust bearing Ca 90 rating of 98,000 lbs. The twin drive’s maximum polished rod torque is 4,000 ft-lb and has a rod load rating of 47,900 lbs at 250 rpm for 50,000 hours.
