To that end, we are committed to providing the safest work environment for our own employees, our clients, any visitors to our facilities, or other locations where we are working.

We conduct our operations with the goals of preventing occupational injuries, illnesses, exposure to hazards, and damage to property. We equip each employee with several tools to deliver on these goals.

  • Dover Artificial Lift’s Stop Work Authority (SWA) Policy encourages and expects each employee to cease their own work and call a “time out” on other employee activities anytime a situation is observed that could endanger people, property or the environment. Our employees enforce the SWA to protect themselves, other Dover Artificial Lift employees, customers, vendors and contractors from unsafe working conditions—at any site and at any time.
  • Our Safety Moment of the Week program highlights safe work practices in a bulletin that is distributed to every Dover Artificial Lift employee and displayed in every facility and office building. From basic machine safety to avoiding horseplay to proper usage and storage of tools, our Safety Moment of the Week bulletins provide practical information that any employee can use to make their daily work activities safer.
  • Dover Artificial Lift has teamed up with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Pure Safety to implement a world-class safety training and incident management system. Training modules delivered either over the web or in face-to-face classroom settings contain well-developed and timely content that is tailored to specific job functions. The incident management system is used to track actual incidents involving loss or near misses, and can schedule, assign and manage corrective actions.

Safety initiatives such as these help us reduce claim costs, lost-time days and Total Recordable Injury Rates, all while helping our clients achieve operational success with minimal risk and stress.
